UCCELLO gun

My attempt at designing a gun. Done with pencils, re-colored with pens, scanned, added background in GIMP.

The UCCELLO is a laser gun complete with a safety lock and two modes of shooting. It can be carried on one's belt as a one-handed pistol or used as a sniper rifle. In it's first mode the UCCELLO will be about 20 centimetres long with comfortable handle for the perfect grip and a wide barrel, covered by transparent plastic lens. Upon removing the safety lock and pressing the trigger the UCCELLO will emit a short, light green laser spark capable of cutting holes through flesh, heavy armor and antique furniture.
Upon entering the UCCELLO into it's II mode the gun will rearrange itself, leaving the handle intact and thus making it unneccessary to let go of the weapon during the procedure. The back side will turn into a comfortable shoulder support and the guns barrel becomes thrice as long, one of the inner lenses will find it's new place on the top of the gun becoming a strong aiming aid. The UCCELLO II will emit both short and long laser beams about the same strenght as it's shorter variety but with improved accuracy.
The UCCELLO can be reloaded through a USP-like plug that has to be connected to the ships energy source.

Advantages: Two modes, quick to reload, sturdy, good aim, strong firepower.
Drawbacks: Heavy weight, rifle-mode best with additional support and takes longer to reload, backlash upon shooting may dislocate shoulder.

Not to be used indoors. Keep out of reach of small children.
