This little trinket was made in the spirit of Iidmaa. It's my character...or well, because Iidmaa is a LARP you can take it as a self-portrait if you want to.

Iidmaa 12 - Hingede Öö (The Ancient Land 12 - All Souls' Eve) will be this weekend. It means that I'll spend the night between saturday and sunday in Linnumetsa woods 3-4 kilometres away from Viljandi city in central Estonia fighting undeads and vampires and leading sacrificial rituals. o.0

So...yes. I'll be the priestess of Juurelinn and my characters name shall be Kahar Toomingas (which would translate somewhere along the lines of ,,Fluffy Birdcherry''.

Also I'm aware that there are people out there who consider LARP to be a pathetic hobby only suitable for dorky no-lifers. I can't actually understand that. Most LARPers I know are in physically good shape, fun-loving, have good grades in school and other hobbies besides LARPing. They also happen to know a thing or two about protecting themselves with foam weapons.
It's seems that the definition of ,,having a life'' for a nowaday-teenager is ,,having a lot of friends to hang out with in fun/random places, like malls and stuff, having a bf/gf by the age of 13 and going to parties where we dance all night and drink beer and stuff.'' Compared to that I find LARPing to be a physically challenging activity that also feeds ones imagination and develops improvisation skills. =/
